Freddy is the only golden magical talking flute in the world who belongs to the young English boy Jimmy and is one of the main protagonists of H.R. Pufnstuf. Freddy's unique nature is one of the reasons he is sought after by the evil Witchiepoo who was responsible for bringing him and Jimmy to Living Island. Witchiepoo desires to melt down Freddy and turn him into a pair of magical singing earrings.
